Important roadworks information 

A14 eastbound junctions 58 to 59 – technology 

I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out technology works on the A14 eastbound between junctions 58 and 59. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface. 

We plan to complete this work overnight on Saturday 17 January 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am only, weather permitting.  

Closures and diversions 

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A14 eastbound between junctions 58 and 59, and divert traffic as follows: 

Traffic travelling eastbound on the A14 will be diverted via the A1156 Felixstowe Road, High Road, Howlett Way and rejoin the A14 at junction 59
