A couple of items to make you aware of:

Firstly, the formal launch of the NCCZ (No Cold Calling Zone) will take place in Kirton on the 21st May, 10.30, on the Village Green.  Further details are below from our Community Police Officer PC Arlene Ell, including the details on organisations being represented.

After further consultations with Trading Standards, the application for a nominated No Cold Calling Zone (NCCZ) in Kirton has been passed!

Trading standards, Fraud Prevention (and myself) are looking to do a formal launch on 21st May 2026 at 10:30hrs.

This will give Highways time to put the official signage in place – I am aware they will need to put up a couple of poles to accommodate this.

The formal launch entails myself and Trading standards giving out ‘packs’ to each of the residents who live along those roads (Bucklesham Road, Falkenham Road and Rectory Lane). Trading Standards, East Suffolk Council, Fraud Prevention and Neighbourhood Watch will each have a stand set up on the village green, offering information and advice to the community.

Trading Standards will also have a cake made, which they bring along with them and it’s an opportunity for the community and partner organisations to meet, information share and mark the initiation of the NCCZ in Kirton, with a photo opportunity giving awareness!

Please can I ask for your help in making residents aware so that they can put it in there diary and come along?
